Carlsbad Village Street Faire Returns November 1 |
A full day of local shopping, food and family fun brings the Village together |

Carlsbad Village is getting ready for a Sunday built around browsing, eating and running into neighbors. The Carlsbad Village Street Faire returns November 1, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., turning downtown into an outdoor gathering place for shoppers, families and small businesses.
Admission to the faire is free. Food, merchandise and individual activities are separate purchases, so visitors can decide whether to make it a shopping trip or simply enjoy a walk through the festivities.
A Village tradition with plenty to explore
The event takes place twice a year, in May and November, and has been part of Carlsbad Village life for more than five decades. Its appeal is easy to understand: a familiar coastal neighborhood becomes a place to discover something unexpected.
Arts and crafts, antiques and clothing are among the offerings highlighted for the faire. Rather than hunting for a particular item, shoppers can leave room for the pleasure of finding a gift, a useful household piece or something handmade that catches their eye.
Hundreds of vendors make this a day for wandering rather than a single quick stop. An international food area, children's rides and entertainment give families plenty to explore between purchases.
With so much to see, a little flexibility helps. Give the group time to stop at an interesting booth, compare a few finds and enjoy a conversation instead of treating the faire as an errand to finish.
A chance to support the people behind the tables
For North County residents, the faire offers a straightforward way to put local shopping on the calendar before the holiday rush. Browsing in person also creates room for questions about a product, its materials or the maker behind it.
Visitors can extend that spirit to the Village's permanent shops and restaurants. A stop inside a storefront can turn a one-day event into the beginning of a longer relationship with a neighborhood business.
This is a community outing as much as a marketplace. A relaxed lunch, a conversation with a seller or a break to watch the entertainment can be the part of the day that stays with you.
Make arrival part of the plan
Downtown parking is limited during the faire, and the Chamber advertises complimentary shuttle service from the Shoppes at Carlsbad and the Poinsettia COASTER station area. Check its current transportation information before leaving, including pickup locations and return service.
Cyclists should notice an important update: the Chamber specifically says bike valet is unavailable in 2026. Older bike-valet instructions remain elsewhere on the same page, so do not count on a staffed check-in.
Wear comfortable shoes, bring sun protection and pick a meeting place if your group plans to split up. Those small decisions leave more attention for the fun once the streets get busy.
Families can also agree on a spending plan for food and activities beforehand. Free admission makes it possible to tailor the outing to the household budget without committing to a full day of purchases.
November 1 is close enough to plan now and far enough away to invite someone along. Save the date, confirm the latest event details with the organizer, and give yourself permission to enjoy the Village at a slower pace.
Bring a reusable bag for purchases and keep a short gift list handy. Leave room in the day for an unplanned stop, too; a lively street faire is a good place to discover a business you might otherwise walk past. |

I wish they had more actual local Carlsbad vendors and less of the same booths you see at every street faire in the county. Still fun but it starts to feel a little samey after a while.
Honestly five decades is impressive for a local event like this. A lot of these things come and go but Carlsbad Village keeps pulling it off twice a year.
The shuttle from Poinsettia station is such a smart move. Parking down there gets crazy fast and the walk is actually pretty nice once you get dropped off.
Good heads up about the bike valet being gone in 2026. I would have showed up expecting it like usual. That page having old info on it is a little annoying.
Been going to this faire for years, the November one is always my favorite for holiday shopping. You can knock out so many gifts in one morning!
